Sounds like a vacuum leak or a timing issue. What distributor are you running??

I have a bosch distributor which i am running. my 1977 volkswagen westafalia camper seems to make a poping sound when my engine is running. I do believe it is a timing issue. I recently had my engine and trans droped to put a new clutch disc put in and had new gas lines replaced. so I'm not sure whats going on.

All I have to say is this is one clean bus. I would drive it in a heartbeat!!!

Mechmark tried to fix this afternoon and gave some pointers to him.

Something to do with #3 valve burnt. (I think.)

Good luck on everything.
