Default Engine Case

My questions: my engine recently locked up on me. i tore it apart and found the crank bearings had seized up. so i removed the bearings and installed new ones. i made sure the guide pins were lined up with the bearings. i started the enigine and after about 2 minutes it locked up again. i tore it back apart and the same bearing was locked up. once i got the crank out i see the guide pin had wallered out the hole in the case pretty bad. i will attach a picture but do not know if you can see the situation. my question is if the hole is wollered out in the case is my case garbage or is there something i can get done to it.

you can put the pin in the other half of the case. your case likely needed to be align bored before it was put back together and bearings were purchased for it.

Once the pin holes are wobbled out there is not much that you can do.You can do like Danny said, but the hole has to be just right.Best wat to get the bearings lined up with the pins is to scribe a line on the bearing after getting it set on the pin. After putting the bearings on the crank, line the scibe marks up with the case half and set the crank down in place.I have screwed up a few set of bearing not doing that myself.Good luck with it.

Default update

I took my engine in and had it line bored. didnt really help the problem. but i put it together anyway and will see how long it will last. just like it was stated there is not much you can do once your bearing pins get worn into the case and wobble around. might need a case before too long. dangit!!!
